Transformers 2

Very good action, too much in my opinion, but that's just me. I liked the story line and the actors were all great. I was just bored with all the fighting after awhile. The kids all loved it.

I give it a 3 out of 5

I liked it... Decent story line, pretty good acting and a boat load of SciFi. The action ran at a pretty good pace and although it was a longer movie, I wasn't watching my watch. There were a few inane parts but overall very good. Some folks might say it had "too much" action... Hello??? Transformers??? Were you expecting them to discuss their differences over a cup of tea!!!

I give it 5 out of 5

Twilight

Yes, I must review it. Okay so I didn't love it the first time. But once I watched it a few times it grew on me. It is entertaining and different. I am not a huge Rob fan, but he did a good job and Kristen Stewart was endearing as Bella. I am looking forward to the next in the series, especially with more money used to make better special effects.

I give this a 4 out 5.

Oh my goodness!!! I missed this in the theater choosing James Bond's Quantum of Solace (which is not a real Bond movie... But don't get me started!) over this movie. But, we were visited by the Techno Fairies who brought us a DVD player that loops endlessly. I have now watched Twilight 732 times. I thought the movie was decent. It was not a total chick flick but darn close. I do have to admit that the music was pretty good.

All in all I'll give it a 4 out of 5

Lets Play CATCH UP!!!

I can't believe how far behind we are. I am getting really good at this "catch up" game, I just wish I could get really good at the "Staying ahead" game.

Wives & Daughters

NR, 1999 (probably a PG)

Life changes drastically for the good-natured Molly Gibson (Justine Waddell) when her widowed father (Bill Paterson) decides to remarry, and a woman with her own set of rules (Francesca Annis) and a beautiful daughter (Keeley Hawes) becomes her stepmother. Award-winning screenwriter Andrew Davies (Bridget Jones's Diary) penned the script to this four-episode BBC miniseries based on Elizabeth Gaskell's unfinished novel.
I enjoyed watching this movie. My husband actually watched it with me and didn't seem to hate it. It reminded me a lot of Jane Austin's stories. Great movie when you have a lot of time.
I give it a 4 out 5.

Cheater!!! You can't cut and paste your review from Netflix! I'll do mine the old fashioned way... I like the movie. It was a total chick flick but after watching the Hornblower series I find some of these time period pieces pretty good. I did like that the main character was strong, honest and trustworthy even though she was a girl.... A good role model for my girls!

New In Town

PG 13, 2009
The weather isn't the only drastic change for high-paid consultant Lucy Hill (Renée Zellweger) when she's sent from her home base in South Beach, Fla., to a small Minnesota town to improve the productivity of a local manufacturing plant. The town's residents also take some getting used to, especially the ruggedly handsome union boss (Harry Connick Jr.) who's doing his darnedest to make sure that Lucy doesn't cut any jobs.
It was a cute chick flick, a little too predictable, but many funny parts.
Thanks again to my friends who kidnapped me for lunch and a movie. It was fun.
I give it a 3 out 5.

Plagiarism, plagiarism, plagiarism... I haven't seen this one yet. And, despite my wife's favorable rating, she won't let me get it either.
